In late August 5 of us hiked from Deer Park down to Cameron Creek, then up to Grand Pass, then down to Grand lake and finally back to Deer Park. Total distance was 26.2 miles. We had excellent weather. The elevation loss and gain made for some seriously sore muscles, especially by the end of day 3 where we hiked 10.3 miles. This hike required two ascents of about 2,400 feet each. Captions in the picture gallery tell more.
