Sunrise and pub-crawling One Wheelers

I'm tempted to write "Windsurfed a bunch, ate a lot of tacos" for this. With daily wind, a routine has been established. Indeed lots of sailing. Last 2 days winds were in the upper 20s. Yesterday I got off the water when the winds were 25 mph gusting to 37. The chop and swells are huge and at times terrifying. Friend Bill and I were discussing what it's like to set up for a jibe on massive, tall swell face. You take your back foot out of its footstrap, plant it on the leeward edge near the back of the board, carve down the face of the swell like a surfer, flip your sail at just the right moment, sheet in, hook in and sail away. As he described it, "Mommeeeey!".

Went to an open mike night the other night to hear other people. Met our new friend Kaweh of Iranian and German heritage who plays Flamenco guitar. He played a couple songs. Wow! He even sang in Spanish, thumping his guitar.

Have re-resigned myself to cooking rather than going out. Pics show my recent tacos al pastor dinner. They were delicious, but not worth the results.

Had a spectacular sunrise the other morning. Maybe they're all that way and I just got up early that day.

"We're all watermelons rollin' down the hill."

"The devil has his day every once in a while."

"I love tomatoes, but they don't always love me."
