Dave, Kaweh and I intended to caravan together on the trip north, but with their big truck/camper rigs and Dave's trailer, they go too slow for me. So I've driven solo and met them last night at Playa Requeson on the Bay of Conception. Bahia de Conception is a giant, beautiful north-facing bay with a maximum depth of only 26 feet. Playa Requeson, on that bay, is particularly beautiful, being a sand spit that leads to a small, rocky island with mangrove trees on one side. Fun to wade through the shallow inlet by the sand bar and hike around the island and mangrove groves. There were numerous other campers, but it was dead quiet at dusk and the stars that night were spectacular. Shooting stars included.

The primative and interesting toilets at Playa Requeson. You use a bucket to flush.
Kaweh and I played music together on the beach, with cocktails of course. So much fun to sing and play in such a place. Met interesting folks there, 2 from Okanagan who've lived off-grid for over 20 years and had their 20+ acre forested property totally burned by forest fires.

So, I have to cook all my fresh produce tonight for dinner since you can't bring any "agricultural" products across the border. Kaweh and Dave haven't arrived yet, so I may be eating alone. Dunno if I can eat all this stuff. I'll cook it at least so it'll be in containers in the fridge.
