Close up of the end of the rear tube of the front triangle, the place where the suspension bolt will connect the rear and front triangles. I inserted a smaller diameter tube about 2" into the end of this tube for additional strength. The curved, recessed surface is for the elastomer pivot plate.
The frame "closed", folded up, or retracted. Not sure what to call this position. You can see the brass built up under a washer on the fatter tube. It'll serve as the surface to meet the rear triangle's angle iron piece. I'll have some kind of a rubber or elastomer cushion between the meeting surfaces.
The frame "open".
