After getting a campsite and setting up at the Gros Ventre campground, not far from Jenny Lake, we took the shuttle boat across Jenny Lake to a day hike that goes up Cascade Canyon. Super scenic hike. Plenty of people, but I don't blame them.

There were actually 2 boats that went back and forth across the lake. It wasn't a very long trip, but it was fun and scenic. Not too expensive.

Austin with his yellow pack headed up the canyon. He's a pretty speedy hiker, so John and I hung together while he went ahead to take pics.
This was a seriously beautiful place.

Some people we met warned us that there was a big moose by the trail ahead. Sure enough, there it was.
Indeed big.
John wasn't trying to get near it, but it abled on over to John. I think he was pretty nervous at this point.
This was my view of the moose for a while. Lots of people were watching it.
