Housekeeping and the produce vendor

We're finally having a calm day today, so far at least. Hard to relax when the wind's blowing. Housekeeping this morning included doing laundry and washing my solar panels. The panels work even when dirty, but them being clean helps on cloudy days like today. It's 10:40 AM as I write this and my house batteries are at 93.4% (13.4 volts) and charging. Like years past, they're typically fully charged by 1:00 PM. It's a beautiful thing, the daily and nightly cycle of charging and discharging predictably.

Dirty and then clean solar panels.

Two more days of no water contact for my leg, then I'll be back on the water. It's been tough watching people killing it out there on the swells while I'm stuck on shore. Someone showed me their Tegaderm bandages, which are waterproof and come in large sizes. Friend Arnie said he's used them twice for stitches on his knees. He said the covered area was "bone dry" after sailing. Will try to buy some tomorrow.

Friend Mica and I bought grouper fillets from a truck vendor in the campground last night and will grill them for dinner tonight. We ate at a nearby taco stand the other night and I got sick around midnight. Not fun. I'm going eat out less and only at more legitimate places. We think it was from the condiment bar or the unrefrigerated mayonnaise.

There's one particularly good produce vendor in La Ventana. You can have a very healthy diet here.
