This loop beginning and returning to Cody, WY was 307 miles, then off to Hunter Peak campground, WY.
Zoomed in and out views looking down the east slopes of the Bighorn mountains towards Dayton, WY. Very sportbikey roads there. Super fun to ride those beautifully engineered curves.
Views on Routes 14 and 14A. 14A in particular is known for being treacherous for large vehicles. Engines and brakes can overheat going up or down. Fun riding though.
Descending 14A. Strangely, my rear brakes stopped working part way down this descent. Upon getting to flatter grades they resumed working and were fine for the rest of the trip. I can only think that the fluid in the rear brake reservoir was low, and that the steep grade somehow let air into the lines. Not sure how it could resume working normally though. Will check the fluid level now that I'm nome. I installed new rear pads just before this trip too.
Views from beautiful Chief Joseph Hwy. It's prettier in the spring with green grass, snow in the mountains and clearer air.
My campsite at Hunter Peak campground.
Warning signs and bear-proof food storage.

Smokey air from forest fires.
