Lochsa Lodge near Lolo Pass. We had lunch there. Seemed like a nice place to stay, with cabins.
One of the famed curvey roads for the next zillion mile signs at either end of Rte.12 where it nears Lolo Pass.

Plenty of motorcyclists on this road. We passed two Goldwingers with trailers at one point, and one of them really got on it briefly. I had no idea that those two wheel trailers track so well.

Climbing the hill just outside of Greer, Id. This was perhaps the best stretch of road on the entire trip.
It was about eight miles long with the nicest linked turns, good pavement and excellent engineering.

After reaching Lewiston, Idaho, our destination for the day, we decided to ride the legendary Spiral Highway before finding a motel.
Interesting road. It was engineered and built around 1917 so that "automobiles could travel at 20 or 30 mph" up the hill. We went a little faster than that.

We met these two guys at the top of the Spiral Highway. One was on an Aprilia Mille. Dave said we'd follow them down the mountain, and we were all set to be dropped by them in a few seconds. Well, that didn't happen. After about 30 seconds of following them, I thought to myself, "When are you guys going to get on it?". I slowed down to let them get ahead so I could have a little fun (who knows when we'd ride this road again?), and caught up to them in a couple of minutes. Hmmmm, and me on an ST1100. To be fair, they had come a long way that day, but so had we.
